Antibacterial and ANTIVIRAL ESSENTIAL OILS (or ANTI-VIRAL ESSENTIAL OILS)

LAVENDER OIL is such a wonderful all-around aromatherapy essential oil that it comes as no surprise to learn it is also an ANTIVIRAL ESSENTIAL OIL (or ANTI-VIRAL ESSENTIAL OIL). One of the biggest worries for doctors these days is the overuse of antibiotics. We’ve seen an increase and that is creating super-bacteria, which are immune to antibiotics. What also needs to be noted is the problems with the overuse of antibacterial soaps. These soaps are causing damage to our environment because the sewage system is unable to filter them out and these antibacterial agents are now in our water sources and are killing off all sorts of bacteria—both good and bad.

However, there is a solution. The majority of AROMATHERAPY ESSENTIAL OILS are antiseptics and bactericides, which means they inhibit the growth of bacteria. In the meantime, they also help to boost our own immune systems by promoting the production of white blood cells.

Prevention is always better than a cure. There are several very good AROMATHERAPY ESSENTIAL OILS that help prevent a lot of sicknesses, one of which is LAVENDER OIL . Others include, Clove Bud , Oregano , Thyme , Cinnamon and Garlic.

An important point to remember: never use water to dilute hot oils used on skin. Hot oils are Clove Bud , Oregano , Thyme , and Cinnamon . The water traps them against the skin and they will burn you even more. Instead, use an AROMATHERAPY CARRIER OIL, which buffers the burning effects while still giving you the therapeutic effects you are seeking.

Some of the gentler ones include Eucalyptus , Frankincense , Geranium , Lemon , Lemongrass , Marjoram , Myrrh , Pine , Rose , Sandalwood , Sweet Orange, Tea Tree , Niaouli, Grapefruit and Lime .

If there has been sickness in your home, a few drops of Eucalyptus added to your wash load will help to kill any lingering bacteria. Also, diffusing any citrus oil or citrus blend helps purify the air.
