To begin with, you need to feed yourself correctly. Then you need to choose the right oils for your skin type as well as your own personal preferences. The following are several PURE ESSENTIAL OILS best suited for the different skin types:

• Normal skin: chamomile , fennel , geranium , lavender , lemon , patchouli , rose and sandalwood
• Dry skin: chamomile , geranium , lavender , hyssop , rose , patchouli , sandalwood and ylang-ylang
• Oily skin: bergamot , cedarwood , cypress , lavender , lemon , geranium , juniper , frankincense and sage
• Sensitive skin: chamomile , lavender , neroli , rose and sandalwood

Tea tree oil is widely used for skin care because it helps oxygenate skin cells while helping to repair damaged skin. It can be used with any skin type.

To make a cleanser, choose the oils for your skin type and blend them with an ordinary, un-perfumed brand of cleanser, liquid soap or a lotion/cream. Ones using all natural ingredients are best so check your labels.

Well-moisturized skin has a soft, supple look to it, creating a luminous, healthy glow. An easy way to have a natural moisturizer that will absorb rather than sit on the surface is to add six drops of the PURE ESSENTIAL OIL or oils of your choice to 2 tablespoons of carrier oil. For this blend, it’s best to use a maximum of only three different oils.

The following recipe applies to a variety of skin problems in old and young alike.

Skin Cleanser and soother
4 drops chamomile
6 drops geranium
6 drops lavender
4 drops lemon
2 drops tea tree
Mix oils together. Use in one of the following ways:

• Put 4 drops of blend into 1 cup of water. Use a spray bottle to apply spray to your face for toning and refreshing. Leave on for a few minutes and then gently wipe face with cotton balls. (Some have found a light mist of this blend is very affective in treating diaper rash and prickly heat)
• For dry skin, put 12 drops of blend into 2 tablespoons of AROMATHERAPY CARRIER OIL of your choice and massage affected area. Quite effective for chapped hands.
