Protect yourself and your family from mosquitoes and other bugs without harsh chemical repellents like DEET. This essential oil bug repellent is effective and easy to make with our Bug Away Blend and simple ingredients you already have in your home.
Ingredients:
• 4oz liquid base of witch hazel or distilled water
• 1 teaspoon of a carrier (Jojoba or FCO)
• 15-20 drops of Bug Away Essential Oil Blend
Instructions: Add the liquid base, carrier oil, and Bug Away to a 4oz. spray bottle. Shake well before each use. To use, spray the mixture directly onto clothes and any exposed skin before going outside.
Note: This is a water-based recipe with no added preservatives. The shelf life for this natural bug spray is 1-2 weeks, so we recommend creating in small batches and storing in the refrigerator when not in use.
Dilute in a carrier oil before topical use (click here for dilution rates). Always patch test prior to extensive use on the skin. To perform a patch test, apply a small amount of oil to one area of the skin, then wait 15 minutes to make sure irritation or allergic reaction does not occur.

Practice Safe Diffusion:
• Diffuse in an open, well-ventilated area.
• Keep children and pets out of the direct line of mist.
