    Rocky Mountain Oils' Geranium is one of the top oils for skin care, particularly for oily and combination skin, as it helps balance all gland secretion.     Rocky Mountain Oils' Geranium oil and Rose Geranium oil (Pelargonium Roseum) are very similar. They have a lot of the same qualities. The difference between the two is that Rose Geranium smells more "Rosy" and has more hormone balancing properties.


    It stimulates the immune and lymphatic systems and can help treat sore throat, tonsillitis, asthma, and excessive mucus.


    It can work as a tonic to help your liver function properly and can help you eliminate jaundice.  It also helps the gall bladder and the rest of the digestive system to function properly, including helping relieve diarrhea, ulcers, and eliminate excessive mucus in the digestive tract. It also helps treat gastritis, colitis, urinary stones.


    Rocky Mountain Oils' Geranium is a safe oil and can be used, when blended correctly with a carrier oil, on children as young as 2 months old.


    History: Geranium has a long history of use for healing wound and broken bones. The root was often used in England to help prevent diarrhea and peptic ulcers. Often made into a tea to use when treating dysentery,  hemorrhoids, and many different types of inflammations. The tea was also used to help treat menstrual problems.

  • Applications & Uses

    Blends well with: Lavender, Patchouli, Clove Bud, Rose, Neroli, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Juniper Berry, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Vetiver, Clary Sage, Coriander, Petitgrain Bigarade, Coriander, Elemi, Rosemary, Basil, Rosewood, Lemon, Orange, Lime, Tangerine, and both Grapefruits.  


    Ways to use: You will need to blend with a carrier oil before using topically. A general guideline is 4-8 drops in ½ teaspoon of carrier oil for adult topical use. Once you have tried it, you will know if you need to blend more or less. A general guideline for blend rates for children can be found here:  Always test on a nickel sized portion of skin first. Make sure your skin can handle the oil/blend before using.

    Massage a drop of Rocky Mountain Oils' Geranium into bottom of feet to ease irritability.  

    Put a drop on your pillowcase at night to help you sleep.

    Put a drop or two in armpits for a deodorant.

    Relieve depression by vaporizing 4 drops Rocky Mountain Oils' Tangerine and 2 drops Geranium. To ease insomnia, vaporize 3 drops Geranium and 3 drops Lavender in bedroom before going to bed.

    Diffuse when you have teenage girls trying to deal with their emotions.


    Spring Toner

              • 3 drops German Chamomile
              • 2 drops Carrot Seed
              • 3 drops Geranium
              • 6 drops Lavender
              • 1 tablespoon Cider Vinegar
              • 2 ounces Witch Hazel
              • 5 ounces Distilled Water

    Mix formula together and shake well before every use. Use to cleanse skin before you apply moisturizer.


    Razor Burn Relief

              • 6 drops German Chamomile
              • 8 drops Geranium
              • 10 drops Lavender
              • 5 drops Lemon
              • ¼ cup Olive oil
              • ¼ cup FCO

    Mix all oils together and store in a dark colored glass container.  After shaving, massage a small amount into shaved area.
