This oil has been used in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine for over 3000 years - especially for pulmonary disease, fever, digestive and urinary complaints. Hippocrates recommended it for sciatica, coughs, abdominal pains, spasms, nervous disorders, urine retention and for bites of venomous creatures. May be useful for anorexia, colic, cramps, dyspepsia, gas, gripping pains, halitosis, heartburn, vomiting, mental fatigue, and nervous strain. Used in flavoring pastries, cookies and cakes.
