The Tohi Cool Mint Toothpaste is made of all-natural and plant-based ingredients that have been clinically proven to be safe and effective. Some of the ingredients include: 

• Hydrated silica: This ingredient is naturally derived from silica (silicon dioxide), which is most commonly known or recognized in quartz gemstones. Hydrated silica is a common toothpaste ingredient, used as a gentle abrasive to help clean the surface of your teeth and enhance whiteness. 
• Calcium hydroxyapatite: This natural compound is clinically proven to help whiten your teeth, restore tooth enamel, and prevent tooth decay. There is no better ingredient to naturally care for your mouth's health! 
• Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate: This ingredient is the sodium derivative of the natural fatty acid lauroyl sarcosinate. It is commonly used as a foaming agent. Not only does the sodium lauroyl sarcosinate create a foamy toothpaste, but it also works as a cleansing agent. 
• Peppermint and Spearmint essential oils: The Tohi Cool Mint Toothpaste uses RMO's 100% pure essential oils to give the toothpaste a fresh, minty flavor without artificial flavorings. The toothpaste contains only trace amounts of both oils, making it safe to use inside your mouth. 

What's New and Improved? 

The one and key difference between our old toothpaste formula and this new one is that we replaced carrageenan with xanthan gum. Xanthan gum is a plant-based ingredient that the FDA approved as a thickener, stabilizer, emulsifier, and suspending agent. 

Xanthan gum is commonly used in a variety of food products, including sauces and salad dressings. However, it is also commonly used in other products, such as toothpaste, as a stabilizer and thickener. 

We chose to remove carrageenan from our toothpaste formula because of the concerns many customers had regarding carrageenan's side effects. Carrageenan has been found to cause inflammation, bloating, and more. For some people, these symptoms can be severe. Xanthan gum is much more mild than carrageenan. Because of its mildness and trace amounts in the Tohi Cool Mint Toothpaste, xanthan gum is a much safer, natural alternative.
