Citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus) has a lemony ginger scent to it. The oil is made from the leaves of the lemongrass plant that is often used in Asian cooking. It can call to mind warm summer nights out on the patio.

Combines Well With

Geranium, Lemon, Bergamot, Orange, Cedarwood, Pine Needles

Ways to Use Citronella Essential Oil

  • Often used to repel mosquitoes.
  • Provides gentle nurturing during periods of self-doubt.
  • Can be a moderate irritant and sensitizer so avoid using in a bath or massage if you have sensitive skin.
  • Inhale the scent and see how it makes you feel. That's a great way to get started.
