How much water do I diffuse this in?

Kristi Johnson | March 26, 2017 | Reply

This will depend on your diffuser water well capacity. Typically you will want to fill it to the suggested fill line. We hope that helps.

I understand to fill up to the suggested fill line for appropriate use of the diffuser. I guess my question is…the more water the longer it takes to diffuse, so would the amount of drops need to be adjusted for diffusers with more water? It seems that a person that diffuses the same amount of drops in less water vs more water would get a different experience with the oils.

I’m new to oils, thanks in advance!

The type of diffuser, the amount of mist output, the water capacity, even the size of the room the diffuser is in can all play a factor in the diffusing experience. When we give recommendations to diffuse we often start with 8-9 drops. This is just a starting point you can add more or less based on preference. So much about the diffusing experience is based on personal preference. Also important to mention is that some oils smell stronger than others in the diffuser. The strength of the scent does not mean you are getting more or less of the benefits of the oil. It is just the nature of the oils.

When first starting out with essential oils it can be overwhelming but you are asking great questions. We hope you continue to use and have fun getting to know your essential oils.
