Myrrh Essential Oil (Commiphora myrrha) is also commonly known as African Myrrh, Herabol Myrrh, Somali Myrrhor, and Common Myrrh. Myrrh Essential Oil has a medium-strength rich, balsamic, warm, and earthy aroma presenting a base fragrance note.

We included Myrrh Essential Oil as part of the Rocky Mountain Oils Skin Care and Mood collections. Myrrh oil may provide a slight cooling effect on the skin, and it’s also great to help preserve that youthful glow, when applied topically.

Add to a diffuser or aroma inhaler in meditation settings to bring a sense of calm to the mind while enhancing inner peace. Myrrh is also a wonderful oil to use when you feel stuck emotionally.

Best Smelling Myrrh
Smells great. This is the best smelling Myrrh on the market. My husband will only use Rocky Mountain oils so I had to order him his own bottle to use.

Just Like Myrrh
Please note that myrrh is viscous and will need a pipette to remove from the bottle. It does not drop well, when mixing oils. Myrrh has a very earthy scent to it, and is certainly enhanced using other oils. Since I use my oils medicinally, I am not looking from something to wear. It can tone down other scents, often making the final combination more subtle. This is expensive, but a little goes a long way. With essential oils, purity of product is important.

Myrrh is such a treat!
This is my first bottle of Myrrh oil. I love it! Very subtle initially, but strong undertones. Pairs well with Frankincense.

I had not used the myrrh oil for weeks and decided to use it today. I had a hard time opening the bottle cap and my husband finally got it opened. I attempted to use a damp cloth to clean the edge of the bottle so I would not have trouble opening the bottle next time. It is really difficult to get the oil built up off. Any advice? Can I use rubbing alcohol?

BEST ANSWER: Using a damp hot towel, carrier oil or vinegar an be used to assist in cleaning the rim of the bottle. Thanks!
Is myrrh no longer available at $22.50? When you do a search, it comes up, but then switches to a $45 bottle.

BEST ANSWER: Our 5ml Bottle of Myrrh is $22.50 and the 15ml Bottle is $45. Under the price on the product page, there is a Size selection, if you click on that it will show you the prices for the 15ml and the 5ml.

We apologize for any confusion!
