We always recommend diluting essential oils with a carrier oil like Apricot Oil when applied topically on the skin.  Benefits of safe dilution include:

  • Increased absorption into the skin

Essential oils are highly volatile substances.  If applied directly to the skin, a portion of the oil will not be absorbed due to evaporation.  Carrier oils prevent essential oils from evaporating while on the skin, which maximizes absorption time.

  • Prevention of skin irritation or sensitivity to the Essential Oil

Depending on your skin sensitivity, you may experience skin irritation when applying essential oils topically.  Proper dilution reduces the likelihood of skin irritation when an oil is used topically.  Continued use of an essential oil that has not been diluted properly can lead to a developed sensitivity to the oil.  Even if an oil is not causing a reaction when applied undiluted, irreversible damage may occur through repeated exposure.

  • Maximizes the effectiveness of the Essential Oil

Essential oils are so pure and potent, they are intended to be diluted.  Contrary to popular belief, using an oil undiluted does not necessarily mean you will receive better results.  Unless you are using an undiluted oil under the supervision of a trained professional, you will receive maximum benefits from an oil if it is diluted appropriately.  You will also get more applications out of one bottle if you dilute the essential oil when applying topically.

Nice!
Subtle order soaks easily into the skin with little residue. I think it's a better carrier oil than coconut.

I have used the Apricot Oil to dilute custom fragrances for body and hair. It is a light oil that works well with dry skin and hair. I will definitely purchase it again!

It is a nice oil, but previously I used jojoba oil as a carrier oil and I like that better I think, it is almost to early to tell

Greasy even hours after application
I selected this oil to try because the reviews said it moisturizes well and is non-greasy. I found it to moisturize well with a very light scent, but it has remained greasy on arms and legs hours after application. I'm disappointed in this one.

First time user
This was my first experience with Apricot Oil. I normally use Coconut as a carrier, but read that Apricot absorbs faster. This is true. Even my hands aren't too oily after application. As of right now I am preferring it to coconut. The bottle it comes in is also easy to use because of how it dispenses. I can get just the amount I need.

Wondedrful Oil
After reading the reviews on Almond oil for maturing skin I thought I would try it. Glad I did my skin is so soft, looks healthier and it doesn't leave an oily feeling on my skin. My daughters in their twenties love it too. Their boyfriends have commented on how soft their skin is. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic!!
I used this oil in diy lip balm and it is a hit! It lightly sweetens and flavors the lip balm. RMO has been great. The quality of the oils is very good. I am switching from DoTERRA's high prices and not sacrificing on quality.

Great experience
I have never used essential oils until now but did a lot of research and decided to go with RMO. The online shopping was easy and my product showed up ridiculously fast. As far as the product goes it smells great when diffused.
