We included the versatile Tea Tree Essential Oil as part of the Rocky Mountain Oils Wellness and Skin Care collections. Tea tree is a strong yet gentle oil to use in skin and hair care routines. Use the oil in natural DIY cleaning products, including surface cleaners and soaps. Diffuse tea tree oil to help purify the air.

Tea Tree vs Niaouli (Melaleuca)

  • Tea Tree’s aroma is fresh, medicinal, earthy, and herbaceous. Tea Tree is stronger than Niaouli and may not be as suited for sensitive skin. Tea Tree is safe for children 2+ when properly diluted.

  • Niaouli’s aroma is sharp, medicinal, slightly sweet, and citrusy. Its scent comes across more sweet and medicinal than Tea Tree’s. Niaouli is more mild than Tea Tree and can be used on more sensitive skin when properly diluted. Niaouli is not recommended for children under 10.

Good oils!
Good quality, smells "fresher" for lack of a better word than my YL oil did. I use this everyday! Large bottle was way cheaper than my YL too. I wanted to try this company after some research and I couldn't be happier

So worth it!
I HATE the smell of tea tree. I hate it! But I LOVE this oil. It cleans everything so well! I even put it on my face. I love the effects of this oil, but yeah. This is one of my least favorite scents. It's totally worth smelling it to get it's fabulous and amazing benefits.

Good, trustworthy products
I have enjoyed using all the oils I have purchased from Rocky Mountain. They arrive well packaged. They smell like what they're supposed to be. I am still a novice in using oils so I probably am not using them to their full potential but have had success in what I have used them for.

Can I deluge with water and spray plants to deter bugs?
A shopper on Jul 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. My plants had fungus gnats. I mixed about 10 drops of tea tree oil and 10 drops of lavender oil in a half gallon of warm water and drenched my plants. It worked immediately, but, I had to reapply a few times. When I reapplied, I just put the mix in a spray bottle and sprayed the soil.
