Eucalyptus radiata Essential Oil (Eucalyptus radiata) is also commonly known as Gum Tree, Narrow-Leaved Peppermint, and Forth River Peppermint. Eucalyptus radiata Essential Oil has a strong fresh, clean, and slightly woody aroma presenting a top fragrance note.

What Are the Different Types of Eucalyptus Essential Oil?

While radiata is the most versatile out of the Eucalyptus oils, here is a little more information about the most common types of Eucalyptus Essentials Oils:

  • Eucalyptus radiata: Commonly known as, narrow-leaved peppermint and Forth River peppermint, this type of Eucalyptus has a gentler aroma than the other types, making it ideal for those more who have a more sensitive sense of smell.
  • Eucalyptus citriodora: This type of Eucalyptus is commonly known as lemon-scented gum and Corymbia Citriodora. A lemon, citronella-like fragrance mellows the oil’s camphor notes, making it an excellent choice for skin care purposes.
Do not use Eucalyptus Radiata Essential Oil on children under 10 years old (consider Eucalyptus citriodora or Myrtle as a safer alternative for children 2 years +). Refrain from using while pregnant or breastfeeding. Always apply Eucalyptus with a carrier oil for topical application. Click here for dilution rates.

Great Smelling
I was a little skeptical of this new (for me) Eucalyptus as I need all the help I can get with my chronic congestion and this was explained as having a milder smell, but this was on sale and I was out. I love the smell of this one!! The smell is along the line of a cross between Peppermint, Rosemary and the stronger form of Eucalyptus. I haven’t noticed any difference in the relief I get between the two. Highly recommend!!

Are all these oils pet friendly?

Can Eucalyptus oil be ingested if diluted?

They are of the quality to ingest. However, we cannot provide dosing suggestions or directions on how to ingest if you choose to do so. If you do choose to ingest the oils, we suggest consulting an Aromatherapist or trusted health professional for guidance.

What is the difference between Eucalyptus Radiata and Eucalyptus Citriodora?

BEST ANSWER: Great question! Both Eucalyptus citriodora, and radiata carry similar properties and therapeutic functions. The difference is mainly in the regions where they are grown, resulting in a variation in scent and chemical components. Eucalyptus radiata is actually the most common variety of Eucalyptus that we offer.

Why is this oil not recommended for children?

BEST ANSWER: Hello!

We do understand the importance of keeping our families healthy by using natural remedies. However, are there some safety precautions to be aware of when using essential oils around young children. This constituent can potentially cause respiration to slow in younger children. Because of the risk of the child inhaling the mist through the nose/mouth and into the lungs when diffusing, is the reason for the caution.

BEST ANSWER: The largest bottle size we offer is a 15ml bottle. We do this so we can offer a comfortable price point for our customers while providing sufficient oil to last an extended period of time. We do not sell larger sizes.
