Can't stand to smell carrot seed oil but it helps my mature skin. I add carrot seed oil to my facial lotion recipe and i also add several drops to carrier oil so as to apply directly onto the sun-damaged areas.
Used the carrot seed oil as a natural Sun Block worked great for me. Mixed 30 drops of CSO with 4oz. coconut oil, I purchased all oils from RMO. I also put a few drops each of Lavender and Skin care oil.
I've been using just a few drops morning and night, and my skin loves it! Skin texture is improved, little lines are minimized, and my skin no longer fluctuates between dry and oily. I think the best way to describe how this oil affects my skin is this: it appears to have a healthy glow from within. You can't beat it.
First, it is rare that I rate anything with 5 stars. Now this was purchased as part of mix to used as sunscreen. So far it seems to working I have only used it a few times though. Would purchase from Rocky Mountain again
I have been adding a drop of carrot seed oil to my daily facial moisturizer for about a month now. My skin is softer and doesn't dry out as much. The scent is tolerable and fades after a while. With this being on your face you have to be able to at least tolerate the scent. To me it's a deeply earthy and natural scent. After a few hours of wearing I only notice the scent occasionally.
I know this is good for skin but I just can't get past the smell. I used it in my DIY moisturizer and it knocks my socks off. Rocky Mountain makes great oils and I wouldn't purchase from anywhere else but they can't help that carrot seed oil smells so bad and boy does it linger.
I have been using the carrot seed oil in a DIY hand cream and a DIY face serum. While I like the effect the oil is having on my skin (it's only been a couple of weeks and I can notice a difference), I really have a hard time with the smell of this oil. I'm giving it a 4 b/c of the smell. Next batch I will try to use a good smelling oil to mix with as I am seeing benefits from using it.
I have read all the benefits of using Carrot Seed but I just can't get past the scent of it. It makes me nauseous. I have tried to mix with scents that I like but to no avail. This oil has a very strong scent and in my opinion not a good scent.
I bought the carrot seed hoping I'd use it as a sunblock and for anti aging for my face, but the scent is so strong I ca hardly stand it. I put it on as soon as I received the oil and had to immediately wash it off. The scent was making me gag. I'm disappointed I won't be using it. I read so many wonderful uses for it. Plus it was $38 for a 5 ml.
