Pleasantly Surprised
This was my first purchase of the Blood Orange as I'd read over many of the reviews and must admit my curiosity. The blood orange - when I see in in the grocery and they slice one open to tempt the shopper - is one of those fruits which catches the eye: crimson, dark orange, when compared to the tangerine or the basic orange. You see drinks with Blood Orange juice, and I've had the privilege of tasting it alone or in adult drinks, and the flavor is unique - you think more raspberry and orange, more than orange/orange. So yes, the essential oil had me curious, especially as I've used plain orange AND Wild Orange from other companies. I can take a whiff of all three and immediately tell the difference. Blood Orange is more potent, which I love, especially when being diffused and it's more obvious when I use what remains of my orange and Wild Orange. Even the color is darker. When it falls into the water of my diffuser, and I add a drop of Wild Orange too for comparison, you can see the consistency and the difference in the hues. I'm looking forward to seeing what other uses I can find for it, but I'd suggest giving it a try. Substitute it when a recipe calls for "orange" and see if you notice the vast difference. I'm definitely sold.
In water: competitor’s brand is on the left and clear (Wild Orange); Blood Orange is on the right.
In my palm. The Wild Orange competition WAS on the left; Blood Orange is on the right.

BEST ANSWER: Great questions! All of our essential oil bottles are amber glass!
Can this oil be ingested, put in water ?
Sheri on Aug 21, 2018

All of our oils are 100% pure and of the quality so they can be ingested. However, we do not provide ingestion guidance, so if you do choose to ingest the oils we recommend consulting with an aromatherapist.
