Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil is part of the Relief, Mood, and Skin Care collections. Use the oil in a diffuser, personal aroma inhaler, or topically. Copaiba Balsam works as a mood stabilizer, helping to calm the mind from everyday ups and downs. The oil also makes a great addition to any beauty regimen. Use it to give skin a youthful, radiant glow while moisturizing and nourishing dry skin and hair. The sweet oil acts as a fixative, stabilizing and strengthening the scents of other essential oils.

Botanical Name: Copaifera reticulata
Country of Origin: Brazil
Extraction Method: Steam Distilled
Plant Part: Resin
Aroma: Mild, Woodsy
Consistency: Thick
Blends Well With:  Frankincense, Lavender, Red Mandarin, Neroli, Rose, Sandalwood

Is your Copaiba thick? Many components play a part in the viscosity (thickness) of an oil. Thicker oils typically come from the resin or root of the tree. Some oils grow thicker and more potent as they age. Because essential oils are extracted from living plants that do not follow an exact chemical formula or an exact growing pattern, each batch of the same oil can vary as well.

If you’re having problems with your oils dropping from the bottle, here are some quick tips:

1. These droppers also work best when held horizontally (to the side) instead of vertically (upside down).
2. Warm the bottle by holding in hands, placing in a bowl of warm water (to prevent damaging the label put the bottle in a ziplock bag before placing in water)
3. Widen the holes on the orifice reducer with a sterile pin
4. Take the orifice reducer off of the bottle and use a pipette.

  • Add to daily moisturizer to give skin a youthful, radiant glow.
  • The sweet oil acts as a fixative, stabilizing and strengthening the scents of other essential oils.
  • Diffuse to help calm everyday ups and downs
  • Try diffusing or apply topically for relaxing benefits

Wonderful quality wonderful prices
Copaiba is a wonderful anti-inflammatory. I love the cost and quality in all RMO oils. It’s why I switched from the pyramid type oil companies.

WONDERFUL Oil
This oil is wonderful and does triple duty. It's not about the smell (which is pleasant but subtle) it's about what it does. By itself or a mixture of 50/50 with Relieve Me (my recommendation) it's amazing for pain. Plus a few drops with your facial lotion is great for the skin. Plus when stressed put two drops with one drop of Franincense in your palm and then dab on tip of nose for calming. This is definitely a 'keeper'.

Pain alleviated
This was my first experience with copaiba essential oil. There was very little scent. That was okay with me, as I sought it for pain relief. I combined it with grape seed oil and frankincense, and was astonished at the relief it provided.

I recently made the switch to RMO and love them but what wondering why the copaiba I purchased here has a completely different scent from the one I used previously? (which is also from a reputable EO company)
Brandi K on May 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello!

Due to different growing conditions (weather, soil, etc.), each batch of oil can vary in scent. Because our oils are of the highest quality, the scent reflects the growing conditions when the oil is distilled. Through the distillation process, the scent remains true to the plant.

Thanks!

Is this the same as regular copiba? The balsam is throwing me off. Are there 2 types of oils in this?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil (Copaifera reticulta) is also commonly known as Copaiba.

The Copaiba description states it can be diffused, but the bottle does NOT have a diffuse symbol on it. Is it OK to diffuse?
OneCent on Aug 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Copaiba Balsam is generally a very viscous (thick) oil that sometimes does not diffuse very well. This is why we do not immediately provide the diffuse icon on the label. However, because it has such a wonderful aroma to it and smells great in a diffuser, we provide diffusion information in the description to leave it up to the customer.
I would like to know if your Copaiba is derived from copaiba oleoresin?

I just recieved your copaiba balsam. The bottle says it is for household/topical use but your online description says it can also be diffused. Can you clarify please? Also, what's the difference b/w your brown labels and your green labels? Thanks!

The difference between our Brown Labels and Green Labels is that our Brown Labels are associated with our Woods & Roots Family and Green Labels are the Herbs & Seeds Family.
i have heard copiaba rubbed on the jawline is good for relief from teething. Is this correct? There isn’t any reference to pain relief in the description.
A shopper on Oct 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Copaiba is a part of our Relief, Mood, and Skin Care collections. Though it is most often used for skin care benefits, it may also be used to support the bodies natural pain relief functions. However, we would not recommend using this oil on children under the age of 2. I will provide a link to our Kids Safety page below.
