Lavender has been treasured for thousands of years across many cultures for its desired aroma and multitude of therapeutic benefits. Prized for its calming and soothing properties, Lavender is a highly relaxing aroma that you can use in soaps, bath oils, perfumes, DIY skincare recipes, and linen sprays. With a top-middle fragrance note, Lavender presents a medium-strength floral, herbaceous, sweet, and slightly woody aroma that is highly refreshing and bright.

The Most Important Oil in Our Home
This Lavender calms my whole family and keeps us asleep all night. I make hand soap with it as well. It’s a very smooth scented Lavender compared to another similar brand I’ve tried. Smells lovely. ??

Is this the lavender Greece? I’m confused by your different lavenders
A shopper on Jun 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Our current Lavender is the same as the previously labeled "Lavender Greece". Greece was included in the name to declare country of origin. This is something we did when we had multiple sources for Lavender. Now that Greece is our prime source, we have taken it off the label to limit confusion.

Why have you switched from lavender Hungary to Lavender Greece? What is the reason?
caryn l on Mar 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We have run out of Lavender Hungary, and are unable to find a new batch that meets our quality standards, so we will now be carrying Lavender Greece.

Here is a link to a blog post we have that provides more information on the switch.

Thanks! -RMO Team
Looking for list of ingredients?
Nancy D on Mar 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The Lavender does not have a list of ingredients, because the only ingredient is Lavender. There are no added fillers, bases, fragrance enhancers, etc.

Thanks! -RMO Team
What happened to the Lavender Hungary & Bulgaria, is the Greece lavender comparable?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Great question! They were discontinued due to sourcing. Lavender Greece is similar to Lavender Hungary and our Organic Lavender is also sourced from Bulgaria.

-RMO Team
What's the difference between this lavender and the organic one you sell?
Lyubov K on Nov 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The difference in our two Lavenders would be that our Organic Lavender was put through the certification process with the USDA to be certified organic. The certification process is very long and expensive which is why we do not currently offer if for all of our oils, however, we are looking to expand this line of oils and we will be offering the certification for more of our oils in the future.

Also, our Organic Lavender is sourced from Bulgaria and our Lavender Greece is sourced from Greece. Because of the difference in growing conditions, each will vary slightly in scent. The Organic Lavender will have a deeper, herbacious smell while the Lavender Greece will have a sweeter, more floral smell.

I make my own candles, will these oil’s work for homemade candles?
A shopper on Jun 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do not have much information about using essential oils in candle making, However, we have had feedback from some of the customers, that they have used our oils when making candles and had good results. We would like to add that using essential oils with heat is something to be aware of as the heat degrades the therapeutic value of the oil, so there likely would be little therapeutic benefit to using essential oils in a candle.

How does this Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) compare to the Lavender Greece?
Sheri J on Apr 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Good question! In order to eliminate confusion we have moved forward with our bottles labeled as "Lavender". However, this is still the same Lavender oil sourced from Greece.

I'm currently a YL user and am looking for a more affordable EO company. Your oils seem to fit the bill but I was wondering if they can be ingested. I use some of my YL oils in my foods and drinks and was wondering if Rocky Mountain is safe to consume?
A shopper on Nov 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Great question! Essential oils are very potent and can be dangerous if not used correctly. All of our oils are 100% pure, natural, and authentic. They are of the quality to be taken internally. However, we cannot provide dosing suggestions or directions on how to ingest if you choose to do so.

If you do choose to ingest the oils, we suggest consulting an Aromatherapist or trusted health professional for guidance. Follow the link below for help finding an aromatherapist.

Why did you stop selling Lavender Bulgarian?
A shopper on Nov 14, 2018

Due to sourcing and lack of popularity, we have decided to move forward with Lavender Greece as our main Lavender Oil in our product line. We also carry Organic Lavender which is sourced from Bulgaria, as well.
