Wonderful Product!
First of all both the Skin Tone and avocado carrier oil smell wonderful, they aren't overwhelming. I love how the oil is moisturizing but soaks in quickly so you don't feel greasy. Has helped a few flaky spots I had due to dry skin on my face. Roller ball is excellent too, doesn't clog & delivers just the right amount of oil. It's EZ to use on cuticles. Very pleased, plan to get other varieties soon.

A Must for Dry Skin
I purchased skin tone for my daughter. She has very dry skin & we add this oil to her moisturizer. It's working wonderfully. What surprised us, however, is what it can do for cuticles. Just a touch of the oil softens cuticles & keeps them looking great. No dry skin or "hangnails" around the nails. Great oil!

I am noticing a difference in the red on my face, fading. I want to use it longer to see if there are any other changes.

Excellent Skin Oil
Hoping the rating stars work. I tried to rate 5 stars but only one star would light up. In any event, Rocky Mountain Oils' Skin Tone is wonderful. I am new to essential oils for skin, so I did some research on their site (wonderful site) and purchased Avocado Oil as the Carrier Oil. I purchased small bottles so I could mix. I have been using it about two weeks now, in the evening after cleansing my face. Even though it is summer and very hot where I live, the oil feels wonderful. It doesn't take much...just a few drops in my palm and then rub my hands together and pat my face. I highly recommend.

I add one, ONE drop of this to a pomegranate moisturizing oil for my face. It has made some red spots disappear. I love this Skin Tone. I'll be ordering more.

Has anyone used the Facial Moisturizer "recipe" from the RMO Usage paragraph for Skin Tone (15 drops Skin Tone + 1/2 C Olive Oil + 3 capsules of Vitamin E)? I am reading the product reviews; would like to order. But there are lots of other mixes that people have come up with, and I can't decide which carrier oil, etc. to mix with this.
BEST ANSWER: I actually like grapeseed oil to mix with skin tone. The grapeseed works very well on my face. I also live near a lavender farm and they make their own all natural lavender face cream. I often mix drops of skin tone in with the lavender cream and use that as well. I hope that helps you.

Question about shelf life. I purchased this oil two weeks or so ago. As there is no expiration date, I checked each individual oil in this bland, using the batch number on the bottle. As I understand, the blend shelf life should be based on the oil in the blend with shortest shelf life. Well, one of the oils in it is Orange (with date Feb 2017). The orange shelf life is 1-2 years, so based on that, the blend I received in February 2019, should be considered expired...or very close to it. Now, as I started checking couple other blend I got from your company, and I am finding the same problem. I would like to receive an explanation of why you are selling oils so close to/ OR almost expired oils? At least, I can still send this blend back, but unfortunately, I am stock with couple of others, which are not returnable any longer. Thank you.
BEST ANSWER: Great question! When stored properly, as they are in our warehouse, the shelf life of oils can expand. We are always retesting our singles and blends to be sure they are of the highest quality, potency, and safety. If there is ever a concern, we will no longer carry the product.

This is a general question- since several of your products have FCO already in them, do I need to also use a carrier oil when applying topically? Or do I only need a carrier oil for straight / pure eo’s (not the blends).
BEST ANSWER: Great question! Most blends that contain FCO are not quite prepared for adult topical application. We would recommend to dilute further to a 2%-5% dilution rate for an adult. You can treat the blend as if it were a single essential oil when diluting. This is because the difference in E.O. per drop is so minuscule ( .5-1 drop difference).
For more information on specific dilution rates, we suggest following our dilution chart on the website:

Can you be more specific in explaining the difference between Skin Care and Skin Tone? Sound like they are basically the same thing. Thx.

Skin Tone

BEST ANSWER: Great question! The difference is in the components of the blends as well as what skin type it is being used for. Skin Care is used more for mature skin and Skin Tone would be a better option for dry skin.
Thanks!

Would this blend well with rose oil and/or frankincense?
I'm thinking of making a toner with it. Would witch hazel be enough of a preservative to make it safe to use longer...extended shelf life in other words ... If not, any recommendations?
Thanks for your time and help.

Thanks for your time and help.
BEST ANSWER: Witch hazel would be great to try but a simple carrier oil would work wonderful to assist in extending the shelf life of the oil or blend.
