Missed the 60s? This will take you there!
Patchouli will never go out of style for some of us. It's an iconic fragrance that brings back fond memories and can keep you relaxed and/or stimulated as you create new ones.

Patchouli
Needed to restock and glad I did. So many benefits from patchouli. Lovely!! If you have a hard time getting it out of the bottle, just use a dropper. I do that with any of the thicker oils.

This is one of my favorite EO! Rocky Mountain is the best! The only complaint I have has been with this particular oil and that is its hard to get it out, very slow. Please look into this! Thank you for providing us quality oils/products!

Response from Rocky Mountain Oils
Some of our oils that are most commonly known for the possibility for being thick are: Vetiver, Cucumber Seed, Patchouli, Balsam of Peru, Frankincense, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Blend of Vanilla, Blend of Jasmine and Black Cumin.

If you’re having problems with your oils dropping from the bottle, here are some quick tips:
These droppers also work best when held horizontally (to the side) instead of vertically (upside down).
Warm the bottle by holding in hands, placing in a bowl of warm water (to prevent damaging the label put the bottle in a ziplock bag before placing in water)
Widen the holes on the orifice reducer with a sterile pin.
Take the orifice reducer off of the bottle and use a pipette.

Too strong for me.
Not the fragrance for me. It’s pungent, strong and offensive to me. I have been very happy with all other oils I have ordered from RMO. I requested to return it. Exactly what they advertise, NO HASSEL RETURN! I was so happy with the customer service. I ordered 4 more oils to try!

Is this patchouli oil dark and thick?
Earline G on Nov 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Patchouli is known to have a Medium to Thick consistency with a clear to slightly yellow tint. This can change with age though as Patchouli is known to increase in potency as it ages.

Thanks!

Do I have to dilute this before I put it on my skin?
Debra D. on Apr 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do always recommend dilution before applying any essential oils topically. When using essential oils topically on adults, we recommend 1/2 tsp of carrier oil for every 1-3 drops of essential oil. We suggest following our dilution chart on the website:

https://www.rockymountainoils.com/dilution-rate

Thanks!

can you tell me about your extraction processes. Do you use steam distillation and are your oils from the first press?
Deborah D on Feb 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We work with farmers and distillers who are experts in their craft and use the most appropriate distillation method to produce potent and pure oils. They use the best methods of distillation for the product they are working with. With the exception of Citrus oils, Ylang Ylang Complete, Vanilla and Jasmine, all of our oils that are steam distilled are technically "1st distilled" or have been distilled for the least amount of time to insure the potency.

If you have any questions on the specific extraction method used for certain oils, this information can be found on the "Facts" tab on the single product pages.

Thanks,

-RMO Team
Do you have a digestible version of patchouli extract?
A shopper on Apr 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We do not. Essential oils are very potent and can be dangerous if not used correctly. We do not give recommendations for ingestion as the body can safely absorb essential oils by topical application or diffusion. All of our oils are 100% pure, natural, and authentic.

If you do choose to ingest the oils, we suggest consulting an Aromatherapist or trusted health professional for guidance. As a company we cannot provide dosing suggestions or directions on how to ingest if you choose to do so.
