  • Does Birch Bark smell like wood?

  • Is Birch oil the same as Wintergreen?

No. Birch Bark essential oil is derived from a different plant than Wintergreen. However, both essential oils contain an active ingredient called methyl salicylate, which is responsible for a menthol-like cooling sensation, and Birch oil has an aroma that is similar to Wintergreen.
  • What are some Birch essential oil benefits for skin?

Birch essential oil may help promote healthy-looking skin. When properly diluted and used in skincare routines, it may contribute to a more youthful appearance. Always perform a patch test before applying to larger areas of skin.
  • What happens if I put Birch oil in my hair?

When properly diluted and used in hair care routines, Birch oil may help promote a healthy-looking scalp and hair. It could potentially contribute to the appearance of thicker, fuller-looking hair. As with any essential oil, it's important to dilute properly and discontinue use if any irritation occurs.

Birch Bark for pain

"This Birch Bark has a pleasant fresh wintergreen- like smell which is much nicer than a previous birch I had. I am using it for reoccurring pain from an earlier concussion and seems to work well."

Comforting oil that helps with pain

"I find the scent of this oil refreshing and comforting. I also have been using it to help relieve some of the pain in my knee and other places and it's been helping along with other essential oils that are good for pain. I have really liked including it in my rotation of essential oils for pain."

Delightful New Oil

"This new-to-me oil is wonderful. It smells like wintergreen--no 'hint' as the description states. I can't really tell them apart, except that birch bark really works for me. For pain, it's simply unbeatable. I've used it on an elbow I bumped pretty severely and for a headache caused by TMJ after a visit to the dentist. Took the pain away immediately. I plan to use it as a swish for a couple of days after a teeth cleaning to curb any bacterial issues that might arise. One of the best oils I've found on RMO."
