Clove Bud Essential Oil: The Essence of Clove Bud Oil FAQ
Is Clove Bud oil the same as Clove Oil?
No. Although they are both from the Clove plant, Clove Bud oil and Clove oil are extracted from different parts: Clove Bud comes from the bud of the plant’s flower, while Clove comes from its leaves. As a result, each essential oil has different benefits and aromas.
Clove Bud oil has a stronger, brighter, and more floral scent that makes it more beneficial for aromatherapy and cleaning products. Clove oil, on the other hand, has a higher concentration of a medicinal compound called eugenol that makes it more useful in topical skincare products. However, both essential oils are anti-inflammatory, promote healing, and support the immune system.
Can you use Clove Bud oil for toothache?
While Clove Bud essential oil helps relieve pain and swelling, it should not be ingested or used orally. If you have a toothache, dilute Clove Bud oil with a carrier oil and gently massage it into your cheek or along the jawline, but avoid getting it in your mouth and do not apply directly to the teeth or gums. If pain worsens or persists, contact your dentist right away.
How do you use Clove Bud oil for toenail fungus?
To use antifungal Clove Bud essential oil benefits, dilute it with a carrier oil and apply directly to the affected area 1-3 times daily until your toenail fungus has been treated. You can also use Clove Bud oil for toenail fungus preventably by massaging it into the toes and soles of the feet if you believe you have been exposed to fungus or mold. We recommend using Clove Bud oil to prevent fungal infections if you are traveling or frequently use public showers, gyms, or spas.
