Myrrh Essential Oil (Commiphora myrrha) is also commonly known as African Myrrh, Herabol Myrrh, Somali Myrrhor, and Common Myrrh. Myrrh Essential Oil has a medium-strength rich, balsamic, warm, and earthy aroma presenting a base fragrance note.
We included Myrrh Essential Oil as part of the Rocky Mountain Oils Skin Care and Mood collections. Myrrh oil may provide a slight cooling effect on the skin, and it’s also great to help preserve that youthful glow when applied topically.
Add to a diffuser or aroma inhaler in meditation settings to bring a sense of calm to the mind, while enhancing inner peace. Myrrh is also a wonderful oil to use when you feel emotionally stuck.

Is your Myrrh thick? Many components play a part in the viscosity (thickness) of an oil. Thicker oils typically come from the resin or root of the tree. Some oils grow thicker and more potent as they age. Because essential oils are extracted from living plants that do not follow an exact chemical formula or an exact growing pattern, each batch of the same oil can vary as well.
If you’re having problems with your oils dropping from the bottle, here are some quick tips:
1. These droppers also work best when held horizontally (to the side) instead of vertically (upside down).
2. Warm the bottle by holding in hands, placing in a bowl of warm water (to prevent damaging the label put the bottle in a ziplock bag before placing in water)
3. Widen the holes on the orifice reducer with a sterile pin
4. Take the orifice reducer off of the bottle and use a pipette.
Nail Cream
Combine all ingredients except the Myrrh in a double boiler. Heat gently until melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir for a minute and add Myrrh while stirring. Put in a clean container. Close when completely cool. Label and keep out of the light. Massage a small amount into nails and cuticles 3 times a week.

Myrrh’s rich antioxidant properties allow this oil to reduce oxidative damage on the skin caused by pollutants.
Great, it is lovely using it topically for blemishes, a little goes a long way!
I wasn’t familiar with Myrrh and found out very quickly it isn’t for me. It’s a very sticky oil and smells very strongly of leather. It was so overpowering, it gave me a headache. I tried mixed it with Frankincense hoping that would make it lighter, but it just don’t work. I ended up throwing it away.
I used the Myrrh at night
This is an essential oil for every collection. it blends well with so many other oils. It is thicker than most but that makes it last longer.
Love the Myrrh oil! Mostly for my dog, but I love using it too! ??
Sacred Biblical oil a must have this Myrrh oil it's softer it's delicate where it won't overwhelm the Frankincense oil , I love it!
I mix it with Scared Frankincense and a little tallow and rub on my feet and chest before bed.
