I love vetiver! It's a must have in my collection
Vetiver is a thick oil. It isn't because there is something wrong with it. I take the rubber part out and use a small suction syringe.

Smells good...but it must be really thick or something. I can't get it to come out of the bottle. I've tried turning it upside down, slightly tilted, shaking it. Nothing will come out.

Rich and earthy
I love this oil. It smells so rich and earthy. I would almost describe it as "perfume of the earth" - not an exaggeration! Some commenters have said it's too thick but that is one of the characteristics of the oil, not a flawed product. Also if I'm not mistaken, diffusing isn't listed as one of the uses on the bottle so I was aware before I purchased that it wouldn't diffuse well. That said I love mixing it with coconut oil and massaging it onto my feet at night. One drop goes a long way!! I also diffuse cedarwood and together they create a relaxing atmosphere. It's worth the cost since you need so little. If you like earthy, grounding oils I'd say give it a try.

love this oil
I love the smell, I also had some Vetiver from Young Living and I prefer this. It is great for sleep, I have problems waking up in the middle of the night and if I apply a little more I am able to fall back asleep. I have also added it to some home-made acne medicine for my grandchildren as it helps the scarring.

Not my favorite oil
I haven’t been able to tell that it really helps me sleep. Additionally, it’s much too think for the dropper on the bottle. There needs to be a larger hole. I have to take the whole cap off every time which is a huge mess.

Night time calming
When my day and my diet have not been quite what they should, I find this aroma calming. I also like to cut it with almond oil and apply topically to the abdomen to aid in digestion.

BEST ANSWER: Many components play a part in the viscosity (thickness) of an oil. Because essential oils come from a variety of plants (flowers, leaves, herbs, grasses, tree barks, etc.), they differ in viscosity, scent, and color. Thicker oils typically come from the resin or root of the tree or are extracted with the cold press method. Some oils grow thicker and more potent as they age.

If you’re having problems with your oils dropping from the bottle, here are some quick tips:

1. These droppers also work best when held horizontally (to the side) instead of vertically (upside down).
2. Warm the bottle by holding in hands, placing in a bowl of warm water (to prevent damaging the label put the bottle in a ziplock bag before placing in water)
3. Widen the holes on the orifice reducer with a sterile pin
4. Take the orifice reducer off of the bottle and use a pipette.
Are your oils Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) essential oils? Do you conduct heavy metal and microbrial testing on your oils?

BEST ANSWER: I was confused about this too when switching from my MLM, but here’s what I discovered—CPTG is a registered trademark, not a FDA certification:) Many MLM essential oil companies create these sort of trademarks, but since they aren’t regulated terms, they’re often misleading and create more hype than solid evidence of an oil’s purity and efficacy. I did a TON (headache!) of research when moving away from an MLM I used to be a part of, and found the most reliable way to verify an oil’s quality and purity is through GC/MS testing. That’s actually why I ended up settling on Rocky Mountain Oils—they test every batch AND all those specs are publicly available (unlike the company I left, who required that you pay to see the test specs). There’s even a number on the bottom of each bottle you receive, and if you enter it here (https://www.rockymountainoils.com/get-gcms-test-results/) it’ll give you the specs. Hope this is helpful! I’ve used them for three years and absolutely love them.
They also started USDA certified line, which according to my research with these EOs isn’t really necessary (and their standards were already basically organic anyway from what I read, just without having to pay for the certification), but customers asked and they delivered. Pretty cool.
