Thick is good! My sleep recipe
Perhaps a comment in RMO description would help those who are not prepared to wait for that thick golden drop. An option (other than to pop the drip cap and use an eye dropper, or warm the bottle which I don't want to do) is to make a 5ml blend of 3 oils. The other 2 oils will dilute the Vetiver and it will drip out just fine. For instance, a sleep aid mixture next to your bedside diffuser could be: 1 part Vetiver (it's potent) to 2 parts each of Lavender and Bergamot. Add 2 drops of the blend to the diffuser and add one drop of Roman Chamomile or Red Mandarin. I mix and match each night, sometimes using the other oils right from their bottles and omit the Vetiver. Nighty night.

It smells great
I love the smell of this oil. The only problem was that I couldn't get it to come out of the bottle.

Smells awesome! It's woodsy and smells great when mixed with cedarwood. Reminds me of hiking in the mountains. Very happy with all of my purchases from Rocky Mountain Oils.

Love the oil but not the dropper
I love the earthy scent of vetiver. It is SUPER thick and doesn't come out of the bottle. I bought different dropper tops to try. I wish the bottles just had them to begin with. I have to make sure the bottle is nice and warm to dispense any oil.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! It's really thick which just adds to it's quality and value! A little goes a long way! I diffuse this and hours later it's still a strong scent. Putting it in my bath is so relaxing! Well worth the money and it will be a constant in my essential oils collection!

I love it. It smells just like the woods and I know when I use it, it will be just as useful as all my other oils.

I have never been able to get a single drop to come out of the bottle, please tell me how I can get it to come out? I'd really like to use it!

BEST ANSWER: Many components play a part in the viscosity (thickness) of an oil. Because essential oils come from a variety of plants (flowers, leaves, herbs, grasses, tree barks, etc.), they differ in viscosity, scent, and color. Thicker oils typically come from the resin or root of the tree or are extracted with the cold press method. Some oils grow thicker and more potent as they age.

If you’re having problems with your oils dropping from the bottle, here are some quick tips:

1. These droppers also work best when held horizontally (to the side) instead of vertically (upside down).
2. Warm the bottle by holding in hands, placing in a bowl of warm water (to prevent damaging the label put the bottle in a ziplock bag before placing in water)
3. Widen the holes on the orifice reducer with a sterile pin
4. Take the orifice reducer off of the bottle and use a pipette.
Are your oils Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) essential oils? Do you conduct heavy metal and microbrial testing on your oils?

BEST ANSWER: I was confused about this too when switching from my MLM, but here’s what I discovered—CPTG is a registered trademark, not a FDA certification:) Many MLM essential oil companies create these sort of trademarks, but since they aren’t regulated terms, they’re often misleading and create more hype than solid evidence of an oil’s purity and efficacy. I did a TON (headache!) of research when moving away from an MLM I used to be a part of, and found the most reliable way to verify an oil’s quality and purity is through GC/MS testing. That’s actually why I ended up settling on Rocky Mountain Oils—they test every batch AND all those specs are publicly available (unlike the company I left, who required that you pay to see the test specs). There’s even a number on the bottom of each bottle you receive, and if you enter it here (https://www.rockymountainoils.com/get-gcms-test-results/) it’ll give you the specs. Hope this is helpful! I’ve used them for three years and absolutely love them.
They also started USDA certified line, which according to my research with these EOs isn’t really necessary (and their standards were already basically organic anyway from what I read, just without having to pay for the certification), but customers asked and they delivered. Pretty cool.
