Coming from a lovely, green fruit, Lime oil (Citrus aurantifolia) has a sweet tangy scent to it, similar to Lemon but all its own bright cheerful self.

Combines Well With

Lemon, Orange, Tangerine, Bergamot, Red Mandarin, Grapefruit, Peppermint, Lavender, Nutmeg, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, Chamomile (German and Roman), Fennel Seed, Geranium, Eucalyptus (Radiata, Globulus and Citriodora), Juniper Berry, Elemi, Rose, Citronella, Clove Bud, Tea Tree, Rosemary, Cypress, Cajeput, Copaiba Balsam, Myrtle, Pine, Patchouli

Ways to Use It

  • G.R.A.S.
  • Very similar properties to Lemon. Can be used interchangeably
  • Is a good digestive tonic. Add a drop or two to 8 ounces of water.
  • Don't use topically if you have very sensitive skin, or right before sun exposure.
  • Gives you energy, especially when mixed with Clove Bud or Peppermint.
  • Mix with any citrus oils and diffuse for a lovely citrus burst.
  • Very refreshing scent, great for clearing out stale air.
  • Diffuse during winter months to help alleviate "the blues".
  • Makes a nice smelling deodorant. Use a drop with Sandalwood.
  • Mix with Peppermint, Eucalyptus Radiata, Lavender and Tea Tree and diffuse during cold and flu season.
  • Works well in a vaporizer, along with Peppermint.

Mainly you should inhale the scent and see how it makes you feel. That's a great way to get started.

Citrus Scent Body Powder

  • 15 drops Grapefruit
  • 10 drops Lime
  • 5 drops Allspice
  • 2 tablespoons Corn Starch

  • 5 drops Lavender
  • 4 drops Eucalyptus Radiata
  • 4 drops Copaiba Balsam

Citrus Air Freshener

  • 40 drops Lime
  • 40 drops Lemon
  • 20 drops Petitgrain
  • 20 drops Benzoin

Refreshing Bath Blend

  • 5 drops Lavender
  • 3 drops Bergamot
  • 3 drops Lime
  • 2 drops Cypress
  • 2 drops Cajeput
  • 1 teaspoon F.C.O.
  • Epsom Salt (optional)

As you prepare your bath, close the window and door to prevent oil vapors from escaping. Fill the bathtub with warm/hot water. To soften your skin and remove impurities, dissolve 1 cup of epsom salt in the bath water. Then dilute the essential oils in the F.C.O. Pour blend into water. Swirl the water to disperse the oil evenly. Enter the bath immediately, since essential oils evaporate quickly. Relax and enjoy the bath for at least 30 minutes.
