About Patchouli

  • Recommended for most skin types and known to help the following:
  • Reduce frigidity, due to its aphrodisiac qualities
  • Rejuvenates mature skin
  • Prepare the body for meditations

Disclaimer: Patchouli ages well with time. The longer you have it, the stronger the scent and potency. If you've had Patchouli in your possession for a year or more, you might need to decrease the amount you use in the following recipes.

  • Please note: With any recipe's involving bath or massage blends, always test on a small part of your skin before heavy application. If any skin sensitivity occurs, do not continue usage.

Insect Repellent

  • 2 tablespoons F.C.O. (Fractionated Coconut Oil)
  • 100 drops Lavender
  • 50 drops Eucalyptus citriodora
  • 40 drops Patchouli
  • 40 drops Cajeput
  • 2 ounces Witch Hazel

To deter insects, spray the mist on the exposed areas of the body before going outdoors. Rub F.C.O. oil into the skin before essential oil application. Spray a minimal amount of formula onto skin. Avoid misting on the face. Instead, apply the following formula to the face.

Emotional Soothe Bath

  • 2 drops Patchouli
  • 6 drops Blend of Neroli
  • 1 tablespoon F.C.O.
  • 1 cup Epsom Salts

Dissolve all oils into Epsom salts and add to a warm/hot bath. Soak for at least 20 minutes for maximum benefit.

Sleep Time Room Spray

  • 15 drops Patchouli
  • 20 drops Orange
  • 10 drops Clary Sage
  • 20 drops Lavender
  • 4 ounces pure water

Add formula to a 4-ounce fine-mist spray bottle. Shake well before every use. Liberally spritz before going to bed.

Love Spell Massage

  • 2 drops Patchouli
  • 2 drops Blend of Rose
  • 6 drops Orange
  • 2 drops Blend of Neroli
  • 1 tablespoon F.C.O.

Mix formula and massage into muscles or ask your partner to apply it for a relaxing back massage.

Foot Powder

  • 10 drops Pink Grapefruit
  • 8 drops Spruce
  • 4 drops Patchouli
  • 5 drops Lemongrass
  • 2 tablespoons Corn Starch

Measure all ingredients into a Ziploc-style bag. Seal shut and massage bag until oils are thoroughly mixed in. Add to a container, close lid tightly and label. Allow to sit for 24 hours. Shake well before every use. Before applying the powder, rub in at least 1/2 teaspoon F.C.O. with 3 drops Balsam of Peru on the bottom of each foot.

Bug Spray for Plants

Add all ingredients to an 8-ounce fine-mist spray bottle. Shake well before every use. Use on plants already infested with insects, and mist the infected plants with as minimal amount as possible. Several applications, a few days apart, may be necessary. Can be used on indoor and outdoor plants.
